The wedding of Isabelle and Josh was the definition of less is more. Every detail in the wedding was carefully thought through from the venue at the Bower Estate to minimalistic decor and with a monotone colour palette to showcase the inspiration they sought out without adding extra details that would be overlooked by all attendees at the wedding.

The Estate

Finding the right location is essential for your wedding. It brings your whole inspiration into reality and compliments every idea created into unison. The Bower Estate nestled in the Gold Coast Hinterland between Queensland's and NSW's border in Natural Bridge was the perfect backdrop for Isabelle's and Josh's dream wedding. Upon entering the Estate you'll be immersed by the breathtaking scenery of rolling hills and scenic mountains.

Ceremony

The ceremony was carefully chosen with a stunning backdrop of rolling hills and luscious rainforests. To compliment the scenery we created a broken arbour installation to make the dreamy, whimsical and romantic aesthetic come to life. The asymmetrical look was planned months ahead to showcase the natural scenery of the venue as to compliment the space rather then to block the scenic view. The whimsical, romantic garden-styled aesthetic was the perfect look to execute at the Bower Estate with gorgeous white florals and foliage to give a timeless yet elegant feel to the overall ceremony space.

The welcome sign complimented the broken arbour with the same dreamy white florals used in the arbour to give a cohesive yet classic look.

Reception

Contrary to the ceremony space the reception is nestled in between the rocky mountain side with the perfect picturesque of dramatic cliffs of the Springbrook National park. The location was set under the fig tree with open air space to give the opportunity to watch the sunset and stars alongside the custom-build marquee as the perfect dance floor with warm white fairy lights and candles.

Repurposed florals

The broken arbour from the ceremony space ended up being the perfect backdrop to the champagne tower. The arbour became the perfect photo moment for not only the bride but the attendees of the wedding.

The reception florals also consisted of bud vases placed on the sit-down styled dinner tables and around the champagne tower and marquee. The white florals gave a botanical touch to the setting and the same cohesive look as the rest of the ceremony florals. Alongside the bud vases, our team styled candles for the tables to provide that dreamy romantic aesthetic. Ivory tapered candles placed in ceramic white holders and a glass sleeve brought the space into a complete awe of a romantic yet elegant atmosphere.

Repurposing flowers can be a great money saving opportunity. When the venue supplies the ceremony space and reception the repurposing becomes an easy way to add extra flowers into your reception space whilst adding the creativeness into in and having the ability to enjoy ceremony florals to the maximum. For example; the broken arbour in this instance being a backdrop for the stunning champagne tower. The welcome sign repurposed as a cloud arrangement to the foot of the tower to create height variation and the perfect photo opportunity.

Bridal Party Flowers

As important the ceremony and reception florals are, so are the bridal party florals. The bridal party flowers for Isabelle and Josh's wedding consisted of 1 Bridal bouquet, 3 Bridesmaid bouquets, 2 Flower Girl petal toss in a custom satin bag, 1 Groom buttonhole and 3 Groomsmen buttonholes and 1 corsage for the Mother of Bride.

Isabelle's Bouquet consisted of a dreamy mix of white calla lilies, andromeda, lisianthus, dahlias and ranunculus, green anthuriums and scabiosa, and perfected with flannel flower and bridal fern.

The Bridal bouquet was a special creation consisting dreamy florals of green and white anthuriums, calla lilies, scabiosa, ranunculus, lisianthus and roses and extra small florals to make this bouquet a talking moment. This effortlessly chic bouquet was a small indication to the bride that the rest of her florals will be just as whimsical and dreamy which is why having the bouquet executed perfectly is vital in all aspects for the big day.

The Bridesmaid bouquets were petite versions of the Bridal bouquet. Also consisting of the same florals as the Bridal bouquet these bouquets had the perfect reaction by the girls and set the mood for the rest of the special day.

The Mother of the Bride corsage was elegant and timeless made with ivory spray roses and buds with ivory satin ribbon to tie in with her beautiful pastel pink dress.

The Groom and Groomsmen buttonholes were a elegant mix of Gladioli as the focal and green lisianthus bud as a secondary flower and andromeda for a trailing effect for the Groom. The buttonhole was pinned neatly with pearl pins with our pinning service included in the wedding package.

Extra's

Flower Girl Petals in a custom satin bag was created which tied seamlessly into the satin ribbon of the corsage and the Bridal bouquet ribbon. This is also a smart idea as a keepsake after the wedding.

Guest petals in custom cones were made and placed in clear acrylic cone holders at the ceremony space which included the guests in the ceremony.

Bloom wishing well was another addition of extras that was included for Isabelle and Josh's wedding.

Planning Process and Colour Choice

The planning of this wedding was enjoyable as the flexibility was open to the florist in choosing particular florals and as we understood the brief perfectly the wedding florals and extra's such as candles, custom petal cones, custom bloom inspired wishing well all came together effortlessly. In terms of colour palette it was easy to create this look as white and green blends in effortlessly with most venue spaces. Chic, romantic and timeless was the perfect brief vision and it was executed with complete confidence.
