Today we're reminiscing on our picturesque day at Sarabah Estate, spent flowering for Petal and Pup's Modern Romance bridal photoshoot.
Nestled in the heart of the Scenic Rim, Sarabah Estate is one of those rare venues where the landscape does half the styling for you. As a wedding florist, arriving here feels like discovering a hidden gem.
The Estate
After a scenic drive through the Canungra Valley - the kind where you roll the windows down to breathe in the fresh country air and reset beneath the trees - you're greeted by Sarabah's stately allée, opening to breathtaking views of the surrounding ranges. From the moment you arrive, there's a feeling of stepping into another world; the vineyard rows and chalet-style architecture feel reminiscent of the South of France or Italian countryside.
Only an hour and a half from Brisbane, Sarabah Estate's relaxed elegance and European-style charm make for the perfect backdrop to say 'I do'.
The most romantic backdrop - beautiful sunshine, clear blue skies and roaming alpacas and guineafowl with the mountain ranges behind. The sound of chirping birds hiding in wisteria vibes and bees humming around rambling rose bushes added to the dreaminess of our day spent at Sarabah Estate.
Why We Love Estate Weddings
We love bringing wedding floral visions to life at estate venues for so many reasons.
Having a secluded property in a quiet corner of the world, all to yourself lets the day unfold with a little more ease. It gives you the freedom to wander, steal away for quiet moments and simply soak in the magic of the day without feeling rushed from one place to the next.
Estate backdrops also allow the day to feel beautifully seamless. Wedding days can so often become a flurry of location changes, room flips and tight timelines. At an estate wedding, your guests can simply be guided to the next thoughtfully prepared space while florals are repurposed behind the scenes. There's no awkward waiting around, no stress of driving between venues and no sense of being shuffled from one moment to the next.
It's also incredibly special for us to witness little glimpses of the day as it unfolds. After months of dreaming up all the details together, we love to see you walk down the aisle, sharing your vows surrounded by your people and your reaction to seeing your reception space for the first time.

The Florals
We created whimsical bridesmaid bouquets to complement the soft spring palette of Petal and Pup’s bridesmaid and wedding guest edit. The brief was florals that felt ethereal and whimsical, with romantic colour and texture to match the charm of the estate and surrounding landscape.
To carry that same garden-inspired feeling through the ceremony shoot, we designed en masse aisle 'flower clouds'. Soft, abundant clusters of buttery garden roses and lush blue and green hydrangea framed the aisle in a natural, effortless way. Later, these were repurposed into table arrangements, keeping the same garden-style movement and softness throughout the styled reception.
It's day spent at beautiful venues like Sarabah Estate that remind us exactly why we love what we do. We feel incredibly grateful that a 'work day' involves playing with flowers in the sunshine and country air, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views.
